Falmouth and the surrounding area

Town

The house is a short walk from the centre of town, where there is a wide selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as the first class Maritime Museum.

 

Harbour

The house overlooks the harbour and bay. There are regular ferries across to St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula, as well as opportunities for watersports.

 

Beaches

Falmouth has several stunning beaches - Gyllyngvase and Castle Beach, as well as nearby Swanpool and Maenporth. Several of Cornwall’s north-coast beaches with their renowned surfing opportunities are within a half hour drive. Falmouth is well positioned for exploring other parts of Cornwall.

 

Gardens

Cornwall is blessed with a mild climate and has world-renowned gardens - such as Trebah and Glendurgan on the Helford River, both a short drive from Falmouth. Slightly further afield are Trelissick, Trewithen, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
